The Blocky Music Workshop is a place to publish, find and install beatmaps for [Blocky Music](/mods/minecraft/blocky-music). It lives at blocky-music.qwu.world and it opens inside Minecraft as well. It is free, it shows no ads, and nothing on it is for sale. There is no separate account: the sign-in is the one you use on qwu.world, and signing out of one signs you out of both.
In the game
Alt+B opens the Workshop over the game. Search by title, artist or mapper, listen to a 30-second preview, and press Install; the map is downloaded, checked and added to your installed beatmaps, with nothing to unpack and no file to move. A map's own page opens in the game too, with its description, its charts, its ratings and its comments. A chart you made yourself is published from that same screen, without leaving Minecraft.
The first time you open the Workshop the mod asks once whether it may talk to the site. Until you answer, those screens stay offline.
On servers
A server running Blocky Music keeps its own list of maps. Anyone with the right permission adds a map to the server, and everyone connected sees it and can play it. A server can hold its own comments as well; those are stored on the server, not by us, which makes its operators responsible for them. The server comments page says what that means in practice.
The rules
Publish only what you have the right to publish. Say where the music and the cover came from, and mark explicit lyrics, flashing effects and AI-made parts honestly. Rights holders can ask us to remove things. Every decision about you or your map comes with the reason for it and a way to appeal. The full texts are under rules and legal. Uploading, commenting and rating are for players aged 16 and over. A qwu.world account still starts at 13, and younger players can browse, download and play.
Uploads are open. The mailbox that answers copyright and other legal notices went live first, which is what everything published here depends on: a notice reaches a person, and the case it opens has a deadline attached. The catalogue starts empty, so the first maps are yours to put there.
